About Us

The Iowa Land Sales Report is a service of Land Sales, Incorporated a family owned business. The Report had its start in 1987 when the Midwest land market was near the bottom of a drastic decline resulting from the rapid deterioration of the farm economy, which began in 1979.

Initially the Report was available for only two counties – Humboldt and Webster. Each report consisted of a photocopied county map, a simple price line chart and detailed information about each sale. The service was so well received that it was decided to expand coverage to the entire state. This lofty goal was accomplished by 1991. As improved software became available the Report was improved with digitally enhanced full color maps and charts. The charting was expanded to include price trends for high, medium and low quality land for counties, crop reporting districts and the state.
